The Lebanese revolution began on October 17th after a series of civil protests triggered by planned taxes on gasoline, tobacco, and calls on applications such as WhatsApp. It took a quick step to become a national condemnation of sectarian rule, stagnant economy and unemployment.
The posters I designed are typographic expressions of some of the words that were chanted during this revolution, mostly condemning the ruling class and requesting their abdication, encouraging the Lebanese to take the streets and celebrating the people’s efforts in demanding their civil rights.
